LifeJacket (Formerly known as DriPadz) is a brand owned and operated by Global Navigation Authority, LLC. Based in West Palm Beach Florida, the parent company began 2009 when it introduced the original LifeJacket iPad case for extreme weather protection. The debut LifeJacket cases shine a clear light on the brand name (perhaps the real mystery is how the company was able to create the case before Steve Jobs made the iPad announcement).
You don’t need to be a fortune-teller to correctly predict that your valuable iPad will be safe inside the LifeJacket ($100; 4.0/5 Editor's Rating). The waterproof case is designed to fit all generation iPads and seals the device completely watertight. Its heavy-duty polycarbonate shell is also resistant to dirt, dust, shocks and drops. The case features built-in floatation so the user doesn’t have to hold onto the case at all times (a good thing considering that it lacks some type of strap). For hands-free use, the company also offers a compatible aluminum mounting bracket ($40).
The company is already making strides in developing more innovative features, including an integrated waterproof USB charging port. The tablet user-community will also looking forward to more cutting-edge case solutions. For now, those iPad users who seek extreme protection for their precious device should certainly jump on board to buy LifeJacket tablet cases.
