Microfiber tablet cases are made from that super lightweight synthetic textile ideal for use in carried electronic devices. The protective aspect added by microfiber is also appealing for those looking to protect the tablet from everyday damage.

The most notable example of the microfiber case may be found in Smart Covers or smart cover cases designed for the Apple iPad. A large number of folio and portfolio designs are crafted from microfiber as well. While a few tablet cases feature microfiber as the primary material, this synthetic is most often found in the interiors of a case. Due to its nonporous quality, the thin layers of microfiber may be piled on to create a soft, light exterior which protects the screen as well a firmer tablet case.
