The main selling point of Coby Kyros 8'' tablet PC is the very low price. Unfortunately, there is very much offered beyond affordability to make this tablet stand out, though it is a usable device particularly for beginners and children. After the price, the best remark to be said about the Coby Kyros 8 regards the solidity of the tablet. Made mostly of firm plastic and a well-responding damage resistive 8” touch screen, this tablet can take some punishment while handling well.

But the no-frills approach to making an inexpensive tablet costs the Coby Kyros user dearly. The screen delivers fairly poor video quality and the list of specs is mundane and stripped-down: The Coby Kyros 8 includes an HDMI output, MicroSD memory expansion for up to 32GB more memory (useful, since the Coby Kyros only has 1GB included), and a camera. The operating system is Android 2.2.

In short, the Coby Kyros 8 can really only be recommended as a “starter” tablet. With the opportunity to get this tablet at well under $200 including a basically necessary MicroSD card, the Coby Kyros should be considered something of a “disposable” device that will wet the appetite for a more powerful and user-friendly machine.

Tablet2Cases recommends to buy it now for $119.00
