The Android-powered Sony Tablet S is set to drop in price to $400 for the 16GB model and to $500 for the 32GB model.
The tablet has a 9.4-inch touchscreen display, along with an Nvidia Tegra 2 mobile processor, which lets the tablet serve as a remote control for various home entertainment devices.
According to IT research firm The NPD Group, almost three quarters of U.S. small to medium-size businesses are considering integrating tablets into their work environment in 2012.
Currently the Apple iPad is set to be tablet of choice for these business, however price drops like Sony’s might have them looking at more affordable choices than the iPad.
