DC by Salman Sajid presented Touchtype – a simple folio tablet case designed to protect the Apple Wireless Keyboard and any of the Apple tablets including the iPad, the iPad 2, and the new iPad. Previously fans of the original Apple Keyboard were forced to carry it separately from the tablet, Touchtype solves that problem. The project is currently seeking funding through Kickstarter, and Tablet2Cases has helped with its pledge.

The new iPad case keeps the Keyboard under the tablet inside the folio, allowing unrestricted access to the device, but still keeping the keyboard within your reach. The tablet and the keyboard underneath are secured via four elastic corners inside the case preventing accidental slip outs. All ports and buttons are open to access.

The new Apple iPad 2 case can also transform into a comfy tablet stand in both landscape and portrait orientation, just fold its cover back and slide it into a special tab on the back. The built-in magnets featured in the cover will turn the device on and off. Despite the multitude of features the Apple iPad case managed to retain a slim waistline. Exterior material ranges from gray polyurethane to luxury black leather and “wild espresso” leather.

Pledges of $47 or more will get you the case.
