Let’s face it, rugged tablet cases are not designed to win beauty contest. However, SnowLizard’s SLXtreme would certainly win the first prize if it was ever entered in a pageant. The case is made from highly durable polycarbonate and ABS materials, and features a shock-absorbing inner panel offering the tablet an all-round protection from impacts, bumps, drops, and water splashes.

The case is compatible with the iPad 2 and later generations of Apple tablets. The iPad 4 case is fully certified at IP-68, meaning it can go underwater up to 6 feet, and comes with Military Spec rating of 810G, allowing it to withstand drops from up to 6 feet heights.

An unexpected feature of this rugged case is the integrated 10,200mAh battery, which prolongs the life of the tablet itself and can also charge other devices through a built-in USB out. The SnowLizard SLXtreme is available in four attractive color schemes. The iPad 3 case is expected to hit the market in the near future.
