Hostages iPad folio

The big journey to spot tablets and their accessories in movies and TV shows continues at Tablet2Cases. The latest one occurred in the pilot of Hostages (S01E01). Duncan Carlisle is handing Brian Sanders an iPad, protected by a leather folio tablet case, to show photos of his affair with another woman.

The scene takes place after Duncan Carlisle (played by Dylan McDermott) and his men have already taken the Sanders family hostage. Revealing his knowledge of Brian’s indiscretion, Duncan is trying to make Brian (played by Tate Donovan) convince his wife to do as they are told, hence kill the President. The leather folio looks pretty thick in his hands, however, it is built to withstand daily impacts and offer stunning, luxurious looks. If he wanted something similar, but thinner, Duncan could’ve looked into LionCase Ultra Slim or Mapi Cases Kolossa. Carlisle’s case seems to have the following features:

  • Decent all-round impact protection

  • Unrestricted access to all ports and buttons

  • Easy one-handed use thanks to a clever design and folding cover

  • Excellent grippability thanks to genuine leather construction

The recently premiered TV show, Hostages, has appeared on CBS network in September and has been growing in rankings ever since. The series tells a story of Dr. Ellen Sanders (played by Toni Collette), America’s premier surgeon scheduled to operate on the President. Her family is being held hostage by a rogue FBI agent Duncan Carlisle, demanding she discretely kills the President in return for her family’s safety. If the plot doesn’t sound convincing enough for you, the fact that the show is co-produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, certainly will.
