Elementary iPad folio

It turns out Doctor Watson is also keen on using iPads and is not afraid of covering up the tablet with a case. Well, at least the modern Doctor Watson (played by Lucy Liu) in the S02E01 of hit-show Elementary was browsing her iPad protected by a simple folio tablet case. The scene occurred in Sherlock Holmes’ apartment in London, now occupied by his brother Mycroft.

Dr. Watson is sitting comfortably on the couch, tending to her iPad, while Sherlock (played by Jonny Lee Miller) furiously recaps the story of his brother Mycroft (played by Rhys Ifans). The iPad folio seems to be made of two parts – a durable back protector where the tablet rests, and a flexible cover with soft interior lining. This type of accessory is perfect for virtually any environment and combines protection with versatile uses, just like the LionCase NYHK or the Moshi Concerti. Judging by the looks of it, Watson’s case has the following features:

  • All-round protection with free access to all ports and buttons

  • Flexible cover supporting the integrated stand function offering multiple angles

  • Soft interior lining to prevent scratches and smudges

Elementary premiered on CBS in 2012, and has quickly gained popularity and ratings. The show is a contemporary take on Sherlock Holmes cases, who now lives and solves crime in New York City. Besides the popular topic and quite an unusual idea, the series boasts quite an impressive selection of actors including the amazing Lucy Liu playing the female Doctor Watson.
