The Cooper X Remax case is twice as nice as other folio cases in the budget price range. For starters, the exterior features a two-tone design available in several color combinations to appeal to both men and women. However, the Remax folio may be best a case scenario for what it features on the inside, including a small hand-strap and kickstand for multiple iPad Mini display possibilities.
Let us make no secret about it, we like the Cooper X Remax case quite a bit. This iPad Mini case makes an immediate strong first impression with its padded cover done up in soft faux-leather with a retro-like split-tone design. The cover locks by way of a magnetic flap allowing the case to go on and shield the tablet from everyday harms, including some accidental drops.
Many folios offer viewing stand mode, but the Remax does it a bit differently: you open a neat little flap on the inside cover – akin to a vanity mirror fitted in the visor of a car – and then fold the front cover back completely to prop the tablet at a 45 degree angle. A silk ribbon prevents the flap from overextending, so it provides a firm placement. Users can achieve a steeper angle as well, but if bumped, the stand is a bit more prone to slippage back to the 45 degree limit, though this will not endanger the tablet.
Located just above the kickstand is hand strap feature. This is useful extra, especially because it is hidden on the inside – out of sight when not in use. Perhaps a bit too small and not the most comfortable angle for extended use, but it is still a noteworthy feature.
All in all, the word max in Remax may perhaps refer to maximum value. Because at this price point it’s hard to match the function, protection and quality provided here.
- Multiple features
- Good drop protection
- Below average price
The Cooper X Remax folio is a feature-packed, almost flawless (save for one hard-to-reach switch) protective package. Perhaps the most appealing thing about it is you don’t have to max out your credit line to acquire one. In the end, the Cooper X Remax folio may easily be a best case scenario for iPad Mini users in need of a sharp-looking, trustworthy accessory for everyday tablet use.
