The folks at Cooper Cases are apparently quite proud of this tablet folio case: After all, it’s described as both “Infinite” and “Universal” in its lofty name. And in a few aspects, Cooper’s pride may be justified. Unfortunately, too many generic features (including the look) detract from the overall product.
Cooper Typus 7" Tablet Keyboard Case in White with Stylus
Still trying to get used to the small display on your Kindle Fire or Google Nexus 7? If so, then the Cooper Typus tablet keyboard case can help. The design stands your tablet so hands and fingers are free to use the built-in keyboard, or the Stylus pen that is also included.
Pros
- Compatible with most 7" tablets
- Includes a plastic Stylus pen
Cons
- Bulky design
- No Bluetooth connectivity
- Cover strap doesn’t fold out of sight
- No cutout for rear-facing camera (if applicable)
- Visibly generic, low-grade quality
Overview
The Cooper Typus tablet keyboard case is made from PU leather with a textured surface that looks and touches like white denim. Complementing its adaptable casual looks is the universal design to accommodate any 7” tablet like the Kindle Fire or Google Nexus 7. Rather than the more common bezel frame, the case incorporates three clips for holding the device secure inside. There is no cutout for a rear-facing camera, but such a design seems unrealistic given that the size and placement of this feature varies on each device. It does leave all sides of the tablet open so its buttons, switches, jacks and ports can be easily accessed, yet in turn leaves these parts vulnerable to potential damages as well.

Editor's Rating
| Rating | Description |
|---|---|
| Design: N/A | |
| 3.5 | Functionality: You won’t be able to use your tablet’s rear-facing camera, but you’ll have clear reach of buttons, switches, jacks and ports. In order to function the keyboard needs to siphon juice from your device, which may deplete the battery that much faster. The Stylus pen looks rather cheap, but it’s still a nice added feature that you won’t find on many other designs. |
| 3.5 | Protection: The design will leave most of your tablet’s edges exposed to potential damages, but for the most part it will protect well against bumps, dings and scratches. |
| 2.0 | Quality: The keyboard does not incorporate Bluetooth technology, and some of its keys get stuck when I press them. Although noticeably lacking in overall quality, the build feels solid enough to withstand casual use. |
| 2.5 | Value: Its design and overall quality is rather lax, but thankfully so is the cost! |
| 2.9 | Overall: Poor The Cooper Typus is more casual than the average keyboard case design, yet still a decent cost-effective choice for enhancing the way you interact with your 7" tablet. |
