The folks at Cooper Cases are apparently quite proud of this tablet folio case: After all, it’s described as both “Infinite” and “Universal” in its lofty name. And in a few aspects, Cooper’s pride may be justified. Unfortunately, too many generic features (including the look) detract from the overall product.
Capdase iPad 2 Soft Jacket Xpose in Black
Who says having multiple personalities is a bad thing? Xpose by Capdase proves that the more personality, the better. This red-tinted case comes with a nice backing shell for extra grip, a movie stand that doubles as a protective front cover and included in the deal is a screen protector. Look no further for your iPad needs!
- Great price tag
- Many useable features
- Keeps the smart Apple iPad design
- Many separate parts
- Will not protect against significant impacts
- Silicone material is a bit sticky
Here’s one case that can’t quite figure out its identity—but this is a very good thing. At first glance, the Xpose looks like it is only a backing shell with an open-faced design and custom-fit access to the volume rocker, power switch, speaker grill, headphone jack and cameras. But attach the movie stand on the back and you’re ready to roll for viewing videos or typing emails. The stand can handle both portrait and landscape modes with ten different angle adjustments, an extra bonus that no other shell-cases have. If you need to take your iPad with you, the movie stand doubles as a front cover giving you good protection for the tablet’s display. Included in the package is a screen protector and a cover for your dock connector to keep out dust and dirt.
- Designed to fit the contour of iPad precisely
- Ultra slim and custom-fit, with open-face design for easy operation
- Protection against dust, dirt & scratches
- Easy access to all controls & buttons
- Included screen protector, screen cover & movie stand
Xpose’s form-fitting shape can slip easily into another bag without adding much thickness. The case is almost unnoticeable yet its extra grip definitely present. The movie stand has a simple and effective design that can be used in a wide range of settings.
The Xpose works as a useful protective measure and when combined with a protective sleeve, it offers an effective safeguard against scratching, bumps and minor impacts.
The soft silicon-based material for the back cover is a wise choice, providing much needed extra grip. The movie stand/front cover is sturdy but not a hard plastic, which can break. Downside: screen protector loses its stick after a few months and you may see slight discoloration in the case.
For $25, this is one of the best deals out there. You get multiple uses for a rock-bottom price.
This case has many surprises—backing shell, movie stand, protective front cover and screen protector. A best case scenario for the iPad user who wants to keep the cool Apple design while increasing the usability of their tablet.
