Case-Mate BlackBerry PlayBook Pop! Stand Case in White
Case-Mate brings a new take on tablet cases with built-in stands . Normally we see stands on folio cases, but the Pop! Case combines a tablet protector with a fold-out stand. The shell protects the back of the BlackBerry PlayBook with a hard white plastic, while the edges have a rubberized grip. Inside is a lining of impact-absorbing silicon. This keeps the tablet looking slim and sleek while making it more comfortable to use.

Overview
Trying to sort through the array of tablet cases for a simple, unique and useful design can be a difficult task. While many cases offer lots of bells and whistles, most tend to completely cover up the BlackBerry PlayBook. That was until the Pop! Case landed on my desk. Case-Mate has designed another top-notch back protector, but this time it comes with a pop-out stand – a great added bonus that sets this shell apart from the rest.

On the exterior, the Pop! Case combines a hard, white, glossy plastic with rubber grips to provide excellent protection all around (except the display). When the stand is folded in, it remains hidden keeping the tablet smooth across the back. On the interior, the case has a layer of silicon, a very nice touch so it is not just hard plastic on the tablet. The silicon helps absorb any impact if you – gasp – would ever drop your tablet. Pop!’s high-quality materials make the case lightweight and slim, yet durable and protective. In fact, the Pop! Case is an ideal travel partner wherever you’re heading.

Plus, the stand doesn’t sit so well on uneven surfaces (like beds and couches) as a folio stand allows. While the stand does the job well when it can, it is not an all-in-one stand solution. |
