The case’s front cover folds back into a multi-angled stand that blends the wild jungle design with living room functionality. On the back of the case is a strap that allows you to freely use your iPad 2 almost anywhere. Beware though, the Versant has been known to not hold the tablet very securely, so there is a risk that it could slip out. The other drawback is that when the iPad 2 is inserted, it is hard to keep it matched up with the camera cutouts and home button. Over time this constant readjustment becomes a bit annoying. A good thing though, the case comes with smart magnet technology that puts your iPad 2 instantly to sleep while the case is closed.

3.5	Functionality Major problems here. Mainly, the iPad doesn’t stay in place when it’s in the case. This causes all sorts of difficulties: the case ends up covering parts of the screen, the camera hole doesn’t match up and home button is obstructed. All these add up to some rather frustrating tablet use. Really, the best thing you get here is a multi-angle viewing stand support.
4.0	Protection Even though the case provides protection against scratches and bumps, there is not much that holds the iPad in except for a thin flap. This means there is potential for the tablet to slip out—the worst-case scenario.
3.0	Quality Case-Mate always uses good quality material when building their cases and the Versant is no exception. Everything here suggests the case will stick around for the life of the tablet, and probably well beyond.
2.0	Value A $50 price tag just doesn’t add up here considering the case’s poor ratings in protection and functionality. The funky design is the best thing you get when purchasing this case.
3.1	Overall: Mediocre We all know that we shouldn’t judge a book by its front cover, but that is exactly how you take Case-Mate’s Versant. The animal print designs are funky and bold, but the case as a whole doesn't really offer much for the tablet.

I currently have the cheetah case love love love it's sleek and definitely and eye catcher, however I've looked all over for this particular case I must have!!!!!!!
