The folks at Cooper Cases are apparently quite proud of this tablet folio case: After all, it’s described as both “Infinite” and “Universal” in its lofty name. And in a few aspects, Cooper’s pride may be justified. Unfortunately, too many generic features (including the look) detract from the overall product.

Overview
It appears there is turf-war occurring in Turkey about who can design and create the best leather case for your tablet – Beyza Cases or Mapi Cases? Well, I believe both are experts at their craft, the main difference being this brand’s solutions are generally more affordable. Like this folio tablet case , which is similar to, but priced lower than its rival counterpart the Executive II by Beyza Cases.

The iPad 2 Kolossa case has concealed magnets that function very well in keeping the cover securely fastened during transport, as well as awaking and putting the device when opening/closing. The magnets also ensure that the panels in the cover stay connected for stable tablet stand support. If there is one complaint I have about smart cover designs is that they are tad wobbly when touching the screen during browsing modes, and this is no different here. Still, this feature is reliably sturdy for typing and hand-free viewing purposes.

Editor's Rating

| 3.5 | Functionality: Like in most folios with smart covers, my tablet was a bit wobbly in browsing mode, but this case didn’t tip over no matter how hard I touched its screen. The stand feature is very stable for both typing and viewing modes on a level surface. In addition to sleep/wake function, this design gives you clear access to all device controls and features, including both front/rear-facing cameras. |
| 4.5 | Protection: I really like its unique bezel design, which can offer more bounce and forgiveness if the tablet is accidentally dropped. This case is a solid shield against everyday wear and tear, and comes in soft velvet drawstring pouch that can be used to provide your device some added protection while transporting it in an alternative carrying solution, like your handbag or briefcase. |
| 5.0 | Quality: Like death and paying taxes, another thing certain in this world is Mapi Cases’ ability to create high-quality handmade cases that are expertly crafted using the finest leathers. |
| 3.5 | Value: My score here is solely determined by comparing its cost with that of the rival Executive II by Beyzacases. Priced approximately $20 less than its counterpart, the “Kolossa” can be considered a slightly better value. |
| 4.1 | Overall: Good If you love to indulge yourself with the some of the finest luxuries that life has to offer, the “Kolossa” for iPad 2/iPad 3 is a smart choice for your device! |
