The folks at Cooper Cases are apparently quite proud of this tablet folio case: After all, it’s described as both “Infinite” and “Universal” in its lofty name. And in a few aspects, Cooper’s pride may be justified. Unfortunately, too many generic features (including the look) detract from the overall product.
Mapi Cases Piges Apple iPad 2/3/4 Back Protector in Brown
Keeping the iPad lightweight, trim and easily accessible, as well as offering support for viewing/typing modes, may all be basic fundamentals that you seek in a case. What is not so basic is Mapi Cases’ ability to deliver all these essentials to you with this tablet stand case made of fine-quality genuine leather, which is expertly crafted for long-lasting enjoyable use.
- Access to all external ports and camera
- Collapsible stand for viewing/typing support
- Snap button flap keeps iPad 2 secure
- High price tag
- Small audio-port holes muzzle sound
- Wobbly support for typing mode
Mapi Cases creates more affordable genuine leather tablet cases to rival those of similar quality produced by fellow Turkish company BeyzaCases. This handmade case is designed with an envelope-style flap with snap-on button to keep the iPad 2 or New iPad 3/4 securely fitted. When you are ready to use your device in viewing or typing mode, simply unbutton either collapsible stand and set this case down on a level surface. The box-package also includes a soft cotton drawstring pouch, which is perfect for offering your device some added screen protection while being transported in your hand or inside a large tablet bag.
- Genuine leather case
- Collapsible stand for typing and reading
- All ports accessible
- Affordable price, considering...
The stand is too wobbly in the typing position, but the browsing/viewing angle is stable. The small holes for the speaker can mute some sound, but you'll have clear access of all buttons, ports, jacks and cameras.
With the exception of the screen, the iPad is well protected against bumps, dings and scratches. Just be careful not to drop this one.
In addition to the fine genuine leather, we like the saddle-stitched design - a nice touch that compliments its overall handmade case quality.
This is the hard part to swallow. Although indeed an expertly handcrafted, high-quality design, we think $94.95 is too overwhelming a price to pay for a back protector.
Considering all that you will receive for a high-end investment, we can only recommend this genuine leather tablet stand case for nothing more than pure, simple Mapi Cases brand fine craftsmanship and durable quality.
