With its basic black polycarbonate shell, the Marware Microshell tablet protector may not be much to look at, but in terms of inexpensive defense against everyday accidents, it’s a real eye-opener. And the compatibility with Smart Covers will make the Microshell back protector even more appealing the New iPad (and iPad 2) owners.

Of course, tablet back protectors are about defense of the device first and aesthetics last, so the minimalistic, basic-black look won’t be the most impressive feature in the Microshell. But with the incredibly lightweight yet super-durable polycarbonate material used, who cares?

What you will get with the Marware Microshell is a back protector that is a snap (so to speak) to insert and remove the iPad. 3.5	Functionality: The Marware Microshell case fulfills its purpose to defend against everyday problems quite well and its compatibility with Smart Covers will certainly be a huge plus for some New iPad users. The cutouts are all aligned perfectly and the Microshell only loses out on its lack of extra features.
4.0	Protection: The back of the New iPad is well protected by the Microshell with tough, durable polycarbonate, which boasts truly incredible tensile strength for such a low-weight material.
