Overview

Ever since reviewing the company, I have been looking forward to getting by hands on a Piel Frama case. And let me tell you, now that I finally have one in my hands, it impresses even better than I had anticipated. The case was presented to me in a beautiful box design with gold leaf Piel Frame logo, so before opening, I just knew something extravagant was resting inside. (Although not a difficult prediction to make, my ego loves it when I am proved right!)

This magnetic tablet case is made of genuine Spanish cowhide with ABS inserted protection, a design that has an incredible lightweight (300g) feel and soft, comfortable grip for transporting the tablet with ease. The interior also has a nice lining with tiny Piel Frama font embossed pattern, and includes a pocket for storing documents.

The case measures approximately 10” x 7” (25.5cm x 18cm), so standard A4 size documents need to be folded in half to fit. The bezel frame design does not incorporate a securing mechanism, but is perfectly cut to still hold the tablet snug tight, as well as maintain clear access to all controls and features, including the rear-facing camera. By folding the cover back, you’ll have an angle for typing, browsing or viewing purposes in the stand feature of the case.

4.0	Functionality: All controls and features can be easily accessed, including both front/rear-facing cameras. The case can slip and/or collapse at times, but for the most part the tablet stands quite stable during browsing, typing and viewing modes. The inside of the cover features a sleep/wake magnet, as well as a pocket for storing documents, and/or the suede cloth (included) for wiping dust/fingerprints off the screen.
5.0	Protection: The strong-acting magnets keep the cover securely fastened during transport so your tablet is offered full-body protection against bumps, dings, dirt and scratches. The leather exterior has a nice, delicate touch, but if delicate hands were to accidently drop the case, then the ABS insert can help the device avoid major injury.
5.0	Quality: Masterpiece The soft, supple genuine leather feels amazing to hold! (I wish that my leather shoes did the same for my feet) From the perfectly designed bezel frame to the fine stitch-work, this handmade case shows off Piel Frama’s expert craftsmanship and attention toward detail.
3.0	Value: I generally score value with the average consumer in mind, and although high in price, this case impresses me so much that I believe it deserves a more generous rating.
4.3	Overall: Great When it comes to being pampered, this is one great solution for providing both you and the Galaxy Tab 10.1 the special treatment you each deserve.
