The folks at Cooper Cases are apparently quite proud of this tablet folio case: After all, it’s described as both “Infinite” and “Universal” in its lofty name. And in a few aspects, Cooper’s pride may be justified. Unfortunately, too many generic features (including the look) detract from the overall product.
PC Treasures Pocket Pro 7’’ Hard Shell Tablet Case
It’s similar to a case-design for storing reading/sunglasses, but the Pocket Pro Hard Shell was built to hold any 7” tablet and offer it outstanding protection. Better yet, there is an extra pocket for holding other accessories such as a charger, headphones, stylus pen, notepad, or even your eyeglasses.
- Extra pocket for storing accessories
- Smooth functioning dual-zipper mechanism
- Very inexpensive
- Bulky, oversized design
- Accessory pocket items are loose fitted
- Elasticized mesh pocket may not age well
- Could use a handle/strap feature
The Pocket Pro Hard Shell meets more practical needs with a useful solution for an inexpensive price, created for those who believe device protection is priority number one. This rugged and tough tablet case consists of an outer shell made of shock-absorbing EVA material and soft velvet interior. It closes secure with dual zippers to keep your 7” tablet and other belongings safe from drops, impacts, dirt, scratches and liquid spills.
- Fits 7-inch tablets with dimensions of 7.6x5.1x.5 inches, or less (including Samsung Galaxy Tab and BlackBerry PlayBook)
- Deep interior pocket for power adapter and accessories
- Soft-mesh pocket to securely hold tablet
- Protective EVA outer shell
- Lush velvet interior
- Dual zippers for easy access
It’s primarily a single-purpose design, but the zippers covered with anti-slip rubber and the extra accessory pocket makes this a more user-friendly case solution.
I think its overall protection could still be improved by some thicker interior lining and/or soft padding, but this case is still a strong shield against some of the most serious threats to your device.
Although its bulky design won’t be easy for small hands to hold, the textured exterior helps provide a firm grip. The elasticized mesh pocket may not age well, but the case is solidly built and backed by a one-year limited warranty.
This design doesn’t look as cool as a Gumdrop case, but its $19.95 price tag is certainly more attractive.
Gumdrop cases are great for their extreme protection and cool, rugged looks, but the Props Pocket Pro Hardshell is great for its rugged protection and extreme affordability that won’t cost you much more than a handful packs of gum.
