The folks at Cooper Cases are apparently quite proud of this tablet folio case: After all, it’s described as both “Infinite” and “Universal” in its lofty name. And in a few aspects, Cooper’s pride may be justified. Unfortunately, too many generic features (including the look) detract from the overall product.
Cooper Kai Fold Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Bluetooth Keyboard Folio Case
It’s not the idea of increasing your tablet’s bulk that is holding you back, rather it’s the high cost of the average keyboard case , am I right? The low-cost Cooper Kai Fold Bluetooth keyboard case not only reduces the strain on your wallet, but also your fingers, as the built-in silicone keyboard allows you to type more freely so you can increase your output at school or the office.
Pros
- Dust/spill-proof silicone keyboard
- Works with other Bluetooth enabled devices
- Very quiet typing keys
Cons
- Consumes a lot of space when open
- Long charging time (4-4.5 hours)
- Only one viewing display angle
- Silicone keyboard lacks touch-sensitivity
- Heavy and bulky
Overview
From the exterior, the Cooper Kai Fold looks and feels like any other PU leather keyboard case, it’s only once opened that a few ugly flaws can be noticed. The built-in keyboard has a noticeable lump in the middle that is caused by some bulging components underneath, and the fact that it is glued to the case-body may not bode well for extended use. The soft-touch silicone design is perfect for typing quietly in the boardroom, classroom or library, and the keys have squared, grooved edges to ease finger slippage. The material is also dust and water-resistant, so while in the employee breakroom or the cafeteria you can enjoy gaming, surfing the net and watching videos without any worry for loose food crumbs or drink spills.

Editor's Rating
| Rating | Description |
|---|---|
| Design: N/A | |
| 3.5 | Functionality: The silicone keyboard has a smooth, quiet touch like the tablet’s screen, yet more pressure-sensitive like typing on lap/desktop PC. Although the design only provides one display angle, it has all the precise cutouts for the tablet to remain completely functional while encased. |
| 4.0 | Protection: The magnets in the cover are so strong that all I needed to do was simply push the flap toward the right direction and it attached firmly secure on its own. In addition to protecting against the bumps and dings of your commute, the PU leather and silicone materials are dust and spill-resistant. |
| 3.0 | Quality: The keyboard is glued to the case body, so I am concerned that heat and/or extended use can potentially cause it to peel and separate. All other aspects of the Cooper Kai Fold case suggest that it should prove quite durable for its intended application. |
| 3.5 | Value: The quality could be a lot better, but not the already low $42.95 price for a keyboard case. |
| 3.5 | Overall: Okay Again, the quality lacks in some areas, but the Cooper Kai Fold is one of the better budget keyboard cases for increasing your productivity and easing your way into the tablet computer world. |
