The folks at Cooper Cases are apparently quite proud of this tablet folio case: After all, it’s described as both “Infinite” and “Universal” in its lofty name. And in a few aspects, Cooper’s pride may be justified. Unfortunately, too many generic features (including the look) detract from the overall product.

| 4.0 | Functionality: Once encased, you have no access to ports, buttons, or cameras, but do you really want your young one messing around with these controls/features? Robotto is a great learning tool for the wee ones, and once they tire themselves out, his cushy feel makes for a nice pillow during nappy time. I also see him as a great travel companion, something that will keep your toddler occupied while say, sitting in the backseat of a Toyota? |
| 4.5 | Protection: Considering his target audience, I would be more impressed with Robotto if he included a screen protector. Violently shake or accidental drop Robotto and he says, “ouch!“ But no fear, your device should be safe from serious harm while inside this plush rugged and tough design. Is your child messy? The rubbery exterior material is also resistant to spills and stains. |
| 5.0 | Quality: Although designed with a small loop on the back for tiny fingers to latch onto, I see children wanting to squeeze Robotto tight or grabbing/dragging by his appendages. Thankfully, his materials are child safe, and all appendages are secured with strong fabric sewing in order to outlast your toddler’s tugs, yanks, and gnawing. |
| 3.0 | Value: Even for a smart toy, $80 seems like a lot to ask. But then again, don’t you just love spoiling your child? |
| 4.1 | Overall: Great Is it great for all young children? I suspect those above the ages of 4 or 5 will prefer something that allows them to interact more with the iPad (like the Speck iGuy). But for the wee ones, Robotto is a great choice to get their imagination going! |
