The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 may now be enjoyed in Germany and throughout the European Union – and enjoyable it is. With slight design changes ruled necessary by EU courts, the new Galaxy Tab 10.1N may actually be an improvement over the standard version available in North America. Measuring 6.9×0.34×10.1 inches (WDH), the tablet is identical in size to the original Galaxy Tab 10.1. As such, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1N cases are identical to those of Galaxy Tab 10.1. The tablet will also fit into various 10″ tablet cases.
The wait is over for those wishing to get their hands on a new Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 in Germany and the European Union. After a six-month court battle between Apple and Samsung regarding copyright infringement, the latter company slightly modified its design of the Galaxy Tab 10.1. The slight changes Samsung applied were ruled enough to distinguish the tablet from the Apple iPad 2 and thus the new Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1N was released in Germany in early 2012.
