The Ramos W10 is designed specifically for those users seeking a low-cost 7” Android tablet that can easily handle most functions – and as a no-nonsense device, the W10 succeeds well indeed.
While corners have surely been cut in making the Ramos W10 an affordable product, the microprocessor is not one of them. The 800MHz ARM Cortex A9 and 512 MB RAM keep the W10 running smoothly even through complex apps, and the Android 2.2 operating system allows for most types of video playback. The 7” screen offers 800×480 resolution and other Ramos W10 specs include 8 GB of storage, 802.11 b/g WiFi, Bluetooth, a G-sensor and USB, HDMI and TF expansion card ports.
The sole drawback in the Ramos W10 tablet is that old bugaboo – the resistive touch screen. Though the W10’s isn’t as painful to use as some and slower gameplay still runs excellently, fast-paced games will be a definite no-no on this tablet. However, in all other forms of tablet use, the Ramos W10 passes with flying colors – literally, in terms of video, which is delivered at a quality unusual in low-price tablets.
While only users of certain video games will thus be a bit disappointed with the Ramos W10, it’s hard to imagine this tablet causing complaint among the average user.
