Middle Ground: Samsung Released Mid-sized Galaxy Tab 8.9

Samsung has introduced another tablet PC into its range of such devices with the release of the Galaxy 8.9 , which falls in between the Tab 7.0 and Tab 10.1 in price and size; overall, it’s a nice device which incorporates elements of the previous tablets in good fashion.

The plastic-and-metal casing is the same for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 as other models in the line and basically the Tab 8.9 is proportionally identical to the 10.1. The Tab 8.9 weighs in at just under one pound (0.447 kg) and still has an excellent 1280x800 pixel screen.

For specs, the Galaxy Tab 8.9 OS is Android Honeycomb 3.1; a 1GHz dual-core processor and 1GB of RAM are included, and models provide 16 GB or 32 GB. Unfortunately, however, there’s no micro SD card port in this tablet.
