Online Shopping Grows Popular With Tablet Owners

Shopping via tablets

Equation research has conducted a study of 1500 online shoppers showing that the average holiday shop is upwards to $325. 238 of the respondents were tablet users, who cited convenience as the top reason for shopping online.

The report showed that the preferred ways for shopping with a tablet are from the couch (50%), the bed (20%), in a mall (6%), at the kitchen counter (5%) and on public transportation (3%).

But with increased fears of unsecured wireless networks across the US, could shopping online decrease in the future? The report seems to say otherwise: 49% of tablet owners plan to do more shopping online after the holiday season.
