There isn’t any official word from Apple on when the iPad 3 will be released—many are saying that it will be announced sometime early next year. However, the stalled release of Apple’s new tablet hasn’t been hurting Apple iPad 2 sales during the festive season. Bernstein Research predicts 13.6 million iPad units will be sold in the last quarter alone. Clearly, people aren’t waiting for the new model.
But what to expect from the iPad3? Features are rumored to include a new, thinner and sleeker design (continuing Apple’s design trend of iPods). It will also support full touchscreen HD display with a screen resolution of 2048 x 1536. Retina display? You bet.
