An Apple a Day Keeps … Increasing Samsung’s Pay?
0 comments / Posted on by david

In a bizarre twist to the legal battles over copyright infringement between Apple Inc. and Samsung Electronics, a recent public revelation has shown that the super-quick, ultra-light A5 dual-core processors found in the Apple iPad 2 and iPhone 4S are in fact supplied by … Samsung.
Australia-based Smarthouse notes the irony of the recent injunction banning sales of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 did well less financial damage to the electronics company as one might imagine, since “Samsung benefits from sales of the iPad 2” because “it supplies one of core parts.”
Smarthouse also notes that Samsung “previously made A4 processors and displays found on the original iPad, accounting for billions of dollars in annual revenue.” Reportedly, Apple has been purchasing from Sharp Electronics and LG Electronics since recent legal action in Germany, Australia, and European Union courts.
Naturally, the appropriate carrier for rival flagship products the Apple iPad 2 and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is the same: Namely, any of the 10” tablet cases out there.
