Market analysts have predicted that Apple will most likely drop its Apple iPad 2 pricing. The drop would be similar to Apple’s previous pricing strategy, which clears the way for the next-generation iPad 3.
Although the exact reduction isn’t clear, some predict it may drop to $399 or $299. Researchers at DigiTimes believe that two new version of the iPad may be released this year, one high-end model and one mid-range, with slight the spec differences between the two.
Apple’s potential entrance to the ranks of the lower-priced tablet models, like Amazon Kindle Fire priced at $199, would shake up the tablet wars in 2012.
