Polaroid presented a collection of innovative back protectors at this year’s CES in Las Vegas. The cases are compatible with the Apple iPad 2 and the new iPad, as well as the Apple iPad Mini and the iPhone. The main peculiarity of the new cases is the possibility to attach telescopic lenses allowing close-up shooting.

There are two types of cases: a standard fisheye that allows attaching a small lens and covers only the top of the tablet from the back; a larger Apple iPad 2 case covering the whole backside of the device and allowing to attach either a telephoto lens for two-feet close-ups or a telezoom lens for three-feet zoom.

The fisheye and telezoom lenses are made of metal, while the telephoto lens is crafted out of plastic. The new iPad cases come in a variety of bright, vibrant colors and can be used with or without the lenses attached to them. The yet unnamed Polaroid tablet cases are expected to hit the stores in March 2013.

Expected prices range between $19.99 and $29.99 including both the case and the selected lens.
