3 Charging Myths Not to Believe
There is so much information on tech on the web that is can be hard to sort out the facts from fiction. What was true 5 years ago may not be true now, especially information regarding smartphones and tablets. That is because new technology is coming out daily and standard operating procedures have changed.
So let us debunk some of the most common tech myths for you. Today we will focus on myth about charging a device like a tablet or smartphone.
Charging Your Device Overnight is Bad
Some people believe that charging a phone or tablet overnight is bad for the device. It use to be thought that leaving a device plugged in would cause it to charge too much and ruin the battery. However, this is simply not true.
New technology has the power to stop the battery from overcharging regardless of how long it is plugged in. So plug it in before you go to sleep and when you wake up your phone will be fully charged and ready for the day.
You Should Never Use a Third Party Charger

Let me start this myth by saying third-party and knock off chargers are NOT the same. Okay, now that we have that out of the way let me proceed. Third party chargers are compatible with smart devices and made by reputable dealers and are perfectly capable of charging your device. However it is important to note that they may not charge as fast as one made by the manufacturer.
Chargers made by companies like Belkin are designed to work with all compatible devices and won’t hurt the battery in any way. Knock off chargers might. This type of charger is typically marketed as coming from the manufacturer but is discounted to an extremely low price. Avoid any charger that claims it is from the device manufacturer but isn’t coming from their website or one of their affiliates.
Charging Your Device Before it Dies Will Ruin the Battery

Now that we have debunked some of the most popular charging myths tell us. Which ones did you believe?
