Speck iPad Dr. Slump Arale Norimaki Apple iPad 1 Shell review

The designs in Speck Products’ back protector are eye-catching indeed. The first model I checked out featured Arale Norimaki of the anime series Dr. Slump leaping into action against a blue background. If only this meta-powered robot could have jumped off the design to assist in quickly assembling this tablet case – and help attach the screen protector...
Editor's Rating
The Speck Products Dr. Slump back protector for Apple iPad is a bit of a mixed bag. On first glance, the assembly looks fantastic. Speck has a number of different designs emblazoning their tablet back protectors from exciting anime characters in action to more austere patterns. Better yet, the synthetic fabric used in these tablet backers is pleasant to the touch and truly prevent slippage when handling. The trouble begins in affixing the top frame. Snapping the two pieces together in four places just right takes some time to get used to and definitely gets a minus mark in the “convenience” column. The bonus package is the screen protector . Speck Products did well in including this item along with a screen-cleaning lint-free fabric. While the screen protector is a bit tricky to install, it will dramatically extend the life of your iPad's screen by protecting it from scratches. Beyond the minuses, however, this can be said about the Speck Products iPad back protector - once that satisfying enclosing “snap” is heard, the tablet is securely in place and defended against scratches, dings and the like.
Pros
- No-slip feel
- Colorful designs with franchise characters
- Screen protector included
Overall: GOOD
With fun designs and low price, the Speck Products Dr. Slump Arale Norimaki back protector will be ideal particularly for first-time users or fans of certain anime franchises. This is especially true for those who use the tablet frequently, so as to avoid assembling and reassembling the somewhat tricky tablet case.
