Cooper delivers the appropriately named Classmate folio case: A nondescript, affordable protector that could be popular with youngsters, especially if they type or browse a lot on their iPad Mini tablet. Auto sleep/wake function is also provided here, although implementation can sometimes be a bit unreliable.

Following the general construction idea behind many similar folios, the Cooper Classmate combines a hard plastic back shell with a polyurethane cover. This design is ideal for not adding too much weight to the iPad Mini, as well as adequately protecting it from everyday harms, including some minor accidental drops. Have you ever gone to school and wished that you didn’t have to improvise a stand employing a half-eaten sandwich so that you could type more comfortably on your tablet? If so, feel free to munch on the other half, because the Basic folio has an integrated stand that supports an optimal low-angle for tapping away at the screen while alleviating any associated wrist strain. An approx. 80° viewing angle is also achievable, but not a full-fledged feature as it is difficult to set-up and easily slides apart at the slightest bump. Though this case's generic looks probably won't make it the envy of fellow classmates, it is a thrifty choice for students who would rather send a message with their iPad Mini than make a fashion statement.
