Bagjack Baicyclon TBLT-CVR Apple iPad Tablet Bag review
It sounds like Bagjack has introduced an escapee from an episode of “Battlestar Galactica,” but the Baicyclon TBLT-CVR is actually a decent tablet bag for any full-sized iPad tablet. Loaded with zipper pockets and full-on strap system that allows nine distinct carrying positions, this case also features some nice unexpected functionality in the Velcro Kickstand feature.
Editor's Rating
It’s easy to fall in love with the Bagjack Baicyclon TBLT-CVR Apple iPad tablet bag on first meeting. This one is quite slime and sharp-looking with a tough but lightweight scratch- and water-resistant Cordura fabric exterior, plus padded interior. Though the possibilities of the shoulder strap aren’t immediately obvious, it’s clear the Baicyclon’s meant to carry easily.
After that first experience, this bag does has its share of cons to go with the pros. The shoulder strap on this tablet bag is touted as having nine different carrying positions, including horizontal or vertical placement by way of the CircDisc mechanism. Note that manipulating this mechanism and strap is not the most instinctive design and may not be the easiest of tasks for some.
The bag interior is exposed by opening the zipper lock. The good firm back is similar to a proper back protector and the padding on the other side offers some extra protection against accidental drops. The tablet fits into a strap frame – and here’s another minus. While the frame is designed with flexible material in order to fit all iPads, this elastic-like material seems far too flimsy to avoid becoming at least deformed, if not broken altogether. Tablet2Cases would advise potential owners of the Baicyclon TBLT-CVR to use the case for a single device only.
Pros
- 2013 Golden Case Awards nominee for Best Tablet Bag
- Strap system allows 9 carrying positions
- Velcro kickstand feature
- Scratch/water-resistant exterior
- Padded interior
Overall: OKAY
Is the Bagjack Baicyclon TBLT-CVR a best case scenario? It depends on what the tablet user needs. For those seeking a conveniently carried, lightweight tablet bag for the medium term, this solution is well suitable. Others may be less than impressed with a more-or-less average tablet bag beyond the unique carrying system.
