Bagjack POGO Messenger Bag review

The POGO by Bagjack is built to carry documents and accessories, including any tablet, while equipped with a unique modular system to enhance functionality. A removable waterproof interior (with an additional piece that can serve as a rain shield!) and tough Cordura fabric exterior also feature in making this messenger bag truly a best-case scenario for bike messengers – and cyclists of all sorts, really.

On the outside, the Bagjack POGO looks like your standard messenger bag of any sort. The material used is Cordura fabric, and the familiar design has a flap closing over the front and locked with two plastic clips at the bottom of the case. Typical stuff maybe, but on the inside things get much more impressive.

The big interior space is impressive already: There’s room inside the POGO for A4-sized manila folders and/or 3-ring binders, and some accessories in the front. This front pocket features a zipper closure and is further secured by generous strips of serious Velcro locking when the front flap is down. The modular system in the bag allows for further accessorizing, such as mounting for lights. Oh, and the POGO can easily store any tablet of up to 15” in size.

Good enough, but wow, is the effort Bagjack put into weatherproofing the POGO messenger bag incredible. The main interior pocket is lined with waterproof truck tarpaulin. And this is even removable, thanks to more sturdy Velcro locks. Everything inside may be further protected from water and moisture with the Velcro-locking rain shield with adjustable closure.

In short, Tablet2Cases may summarize the Bagjack POGO messenger bag by proclaiming it storm-ready, but not quite a bar-raiser among tablet messenger bags.

Tablet2Cases can certainly recommend the Bagjack POGO, though we’re heartily awaiting the next model to include some extra padding. And if offered at a considerably lower price, the POGO version 2.0 could well be the ultimate in its class. For now, those seeking a messenger bag while on a budget will need to keep looking for their best case scenario.
