At least we can state that the DROP DBlack Apple iPad Air leather tablet sleeve looks quite nice, a necessity in what is ultimately a pure vanity item to gussy up the tablet in style. (Note: The DBlack sleeve is advertised as exclusively for the Apple iPad Air, but should be suitable for any similarly-sized device). The austere look brought by the vegetable-tanned genuine leather makes the DBlack sleeve appropriate for all settings, but it’s not quite all business. Stitching running around three edges brings a nice bit of red flair for a sharp-looking, attractive accent. This splash of color comprises the entire suede interior. Suede has been known since the dawn of tablet cases as a proper choice to protect the touchscreen from scratches and dings while carrying, but is typically eschewed in lower-end products for less expensive microfiber. And that’s about it for the commentary. While a lack of features or function is hardly unusual in a tablet sleeve, a look at the price tag on this accessory really makes one wonder what the Drop folks were thinking?
