The skin itself comes in two parts on a piece of paper like a peel-off sticker: a bezel cover and a back cover. Some people may shudder at the thought of applying something sticky to their Barnes & Noble Nook Tablet/Color, but GelaSkins uses a special adhesive backing (called Controltac by 3M) making the stickers easy to install and remove, leaving no residue behind. Applying the Barnes & Noble Nook Tablet/Color skin is a relatively easy task and there was no “bubbling” when I put it on the rear cover. The front part of the skin, that covers the area around the screen, is more difficult to install—an extra set of hands around solves the problem. When the skin is on, match it with the downloaded wallpaper to make a cool, seamless design across the entire Barnes & Noble Nook Tablet/Color.

4.5	Design One thing I really like about GelaSkins’ designs is that they are made by artists, whose bio you can read at the bottom of each page—a nice human touch in the tablet world. If you don’t like these designs, upload one of your own photos and GelaSkins will make a personalized skin for you.
3.0	Functionality The precise cut outs are both good and bad: they make the skin application process more difficult but then leave barely any of the tablet exposed.
3.0	Protection The thicker plastic gives the Gelaskin a good level of durability and some extra grip. Scratches, dings and scrapes won’t show up on the skin (or your tablet) but the skin won’t protect against dropping the tablet. Also, there isn’t any protection to the Barnes & Noble Nook Tablet/Color screen. Gelaskins makes a GelaScreen if you want that extra safeguarding step.
4.5	Quality The skins are made of a thick & flexible plastic by 3M (maker of all those great office Post-its). This quality material ensures that no sticky residue is left over on your Barnes & Noble Nook Tablet/Color if you decide to move on from the skin.
4.0	Value $19.95 isn't necessarily a great buy for a little extra protection and grip. But it's definitely a great deal for those who seek some distinctive and more personalized looks for their tablet.
