But the "The Leather Shell" doesn’t just come out at night, you can engage with your device all day long with this design that leaves front display, button, ports and rear-facing camera open for easy to reach, hands-on use. Better still, it is covered with genuine leather for you to enjoy a more pleasant feel and comfortable, firm grip.

"The Leather Shell" presents as a nice, chic tablet case for ladies , but I also like it as a sleek, sophisticated look to compliment a man’s sense of style just as well. This tablet protector has a polyurethane frame covered with a smooth, yet tactile, soft genuine black leather. There are few parts along the edges to suggest that the leather may peel with age, but overall this form feels quite flexible, which is why I like it to easily outlast most other tablet hard cases.

The iPad 2 fits very well inside this design, which has extended corners and a right edge that keeps it secure. The left edge is not extended as to accommodate the Smart Cover . Of course, you will probably want to opt for the more expensive leather version to compliment this case’s quality. But, even without the added function and protection, like any owl, this leather iPad 2 case looks and works great on its own. It is designed to maintain your device’s trim form and lightweight feel, as well as give you clear access to all buttons, ports and rear-facing camera.

"Smart Cover compatible protection"
I thought that Apple Smart Cover will be enough to protect my iPad 2 at first. However, I’ve realized I need a bit of protection on top of the sleep/wake and stand functions it offers. So I set out to look for a Smart Cover compatible back protector. This Happy Owl Studio one is perfect for me – genuine leather gives it a touch of luxury and offers a super-secure grip. All ports are open to access, and yes, it’s a perfect match to the Smart Cover.
