FLAP LOCK CASES

Flaps represent perhaps the very simplest of all tablet case locks. To enclose a flap-style tablet case, the user needs simply to bring the flap from the back of the tablet case to the front, fold over, and, where applicable, fasten into a closure. This flap may be combined with another type of lock such as magnet, button, strap or Velcro.

By far most commonly seen in the envelope-style case, a flap lock requires a strong-yet-flexible material in which to be embedded. Several sleeves and folio cases made of faux leather, leather, and/or felt may include the flap.
The flap lock’s main advantage comes in its convenience. The absolute lack of complexity in a flap enclosure allows young children as well as less technically-inclined adults to enclose/remove the tablet at a moment’s notice.
