STRAP LOCK CASES

Strap lock cases may be defined as those tablet case locks which either close with an elastic strap or by insertion of a small strap into a buckle.

With an elastic strap, the tablet case is closed up with a simple lock that stretches vertically down the front side; this simple feature can often improve the look of the case, adding a striking dash of a second color. Straps locking with a buckle usually echo the style of an old-fashioned day planner. A loop made of a synthetic or natural material attached to the front holds down a strap affixed to the back for enclosure. More functional tablet cases may incorporate this back strap into an embedded stand as well.

Both elastic and strap locks are typically found among most tablet case styles, and strap locks are quite common in folio cases, portfolios, flip cases and book cases.
