The Acer Iconia Tab A100 is a 7” tablet with an Android Honeycomb 3.0 operating system. The Iconia A100 was the first such device to employ this OS and the tablet-specific features help give it high marks in most areas of usability. With the Acer interface plus 3G and WiFi connections, access to social networks is a snap, while Google services such as Gmail and Google Talk instant messaging are particularly convenient on the A100 tab as well.

Users of multimedia will certainly enjoy the Acer Iconia A100: the 1024 x 600 resolution combined with the Tegra 2 processor and two cameras, including one designed specifically for video calls, make for high-quality content playback and decent video creation. This tablet comes equipped with an HDMI port so that the user may stream video content from the Acer Iconia onto a TV set. The A100 provides 8 GB of storage for multimedia and another 32 GB is available via SD cards.

The sole notable disadvantage of the Acer Iconia Tab A100 is the lack of GSM support and thus its inability to make phone calls or to do text messaging. However, this Iconia tablet can support other messaging services (such as the aforementioned Google Talk) and Skype and other VoIP software may be used with good results.
