Traveling can be stressful, especially if you don’t know how to pack your belongings. Tablets and other electronics are especially vulnerable and need to packed with great care. So how can you ensure your tablet is safe on your next trip? Check out the following tips and tricks below.
Keep It In Your Carry On
When travelling, especially on a plane, keep your tablet in a carry on bag. By doing this you have complete control of where the tablet goes, and how it is treated during travel. Yes, you may need to take it out during screenings, but it is a small price to pay to keep your tablet safe. Do your best to pack it at the top of the carry on surrounded by soft items like clothing for extra protection.
Use a Protective Case
Protective cases are an easy way to guard your tablet against the bumps and falls it can experience during travel. These cases are often drop resistance, waterproof and dust and scratch resistant, making them perfect for road trips, camping or air travel. They come in a variety of sizes and prices and I happen to know where you can find one perfect for your tablet.
Keep It Separate From Other Items
When possible, pack your tablet in its own bag, or at the very least, in a separate pocket from other items. This will ensure it doesn’t get scratched, cracked or broken when other items shift. Keeping your tablet separate will also make it easier to retrieve or be taken out for security reasons.
Roll Cords and Keep Them Neat
Most people don’t think about how cords can affect packing. Packing them incorrectly can hurt not only the cords, but the tablet as well. It is important to roll every cord and secure it with a rubber band or tie to keep it secure. Doing this will protect your cords from getting tangled, bent or ruined while traveling. It will also keep the tablet safe because it won’t get wrapped up and potentially dropped from the bag while attempting to free the cord.
