TPU Cases

TPU tablet cases are made of thermoplastic polyurethane, a plastic polymer touted in other products for its transparency and resistance to oils and liquids. These same properties carry over into the tablet case, thus making TPU carriers particularly proper among those users actually porting the device around in-hand.

Most commonly, a TPU tablet case will come in two-piece hard case format, sleeve or envelope tablet case style. As the material is usually see-through, the hard case is the most popular among these designs; the material is typically tinted a light color, allowing the user to view the screen while the tablet is still encased and thus protected from the elements.

A nice advantage in opaque sleeve- or envelope-style TPU tablet cases is the inclusion of a softer material cushioning the tablet on both sides. In line with preventing greasy matter from the tablet, such TPU cases often feature a microfiber material which actually helps polish the screen as it sits protected.

And though TPU is in the range of plastics, users often note a superior feel among TPU tablet cases to those of plastic, as the former tends to be a bit softer to the touch.
