Mobile phone network provider T-Mobile jumped into the tablet PC market impressively with its co-produced G-Slate by LG (or the LG Optimus Pad outside of North America). Boasting more connectivity than any tablet out there, the T-Mobile Gpad also includes lots of goodies in the form of software and connectivity options.

With a screen of 8.9”, the T-Mobile G-Slate stands out among the slew of 7”, 8” and 10” models readily available. It may seem like an odd decision, but with a trim bezel, low 1.3-pound (0.6-kilogram) weight and well above-average resolution of 1280x768, it’s hard to argue with these developers – put simply, videos look great on the G-Slate.

In terms of T-Mobile G-Slate specs, there’s the Android 3.0 Honeycomb operating system, a 1GHz Tegra 2 processor and 32GB of storage – though it should be noted that this cannot be expanded. Connectivity is a huge plus, with WiFi, Bluetooth and HSPA+ included. Also in this tablet are SIM card, micro USB and HDMI ports as well as two ports for HD cameras. The G-Slate also features three cameras, which can be used to make 3D videos.

Finally, T-Mobile packs some good apps in the G-Slate - the full Google suite sits alongside 3D video software and QuickOffice software. And a nice exclusive inclusion (though as yet slightly underdeveloped) is T-Mobile TV, which gives the user access to some live and recorded television programming.

In the end, the T-Mobile G-Slate by LG is an excellent tablet, particularly for those users who are already customers of the company.
