BOOK CASES

The “book case” is pretty much exactly what it sounds like: centuries-old bookbinding techniques are applied to modern technology with the end result of producing a tablet case that looks and feels exactly like an old-fashioned book.

Though a bit less popular than the mass-produced leather-style tablet bags or cases, the book tablet case is enjoying some attention these days due to its distinctive look, generally cheaper price and usually handmade craftsmanship. On average, buying a book tablet case will run about half the cost of a standard-issue bag or case.

While typical book tablet case reviews reveal a simple snug-fitting hard cover, some outlets even offer to place your tablet inside an extant old book; this also helps overcome the main drawback of this sort of case, namely that the material of tablet book cases isn’t as effective against impacts or other accidents.

The appeal of the best tablet book case is obvious, though: aesthetically pleasing to the extreme, this case is fantastic for those who do most tablet work at home or at the office – it can simply be shelved after use – or for those who simply wish for something a bit more unique. A tablet book case is a great conversation starter and is sure to pique the curiosity of fellow tablet users.
