Though the ViewPad 7 may be the pride of ViewSonic’s line of tablets, this device is much more appropriate for use with smartphone functions rather than for use as a full-on tablet PC for most users.

On the plus side, the ViewSonic ViewPad 7 runs the Android 2.2 operating system well and the Tegra microprocessor keeps functions working quickly – especially at this size – and Android Market comes preinstalled as well. At dimensions of just 4.3” x 7”, this is one powerful tablet at its convenient size and the ViewPad 7 makes the most of such small space with its impressive 7”, 800x480 pixel screen. This tiny tablet even manages to provide two cameras in addition to USB, micro SD card and SIM card ports.

The ViewSonic ViewPad 7 includes three keyboard options, but the QWERTY keyboard is notably stripped down of the extra symbols the user would normally hit SHIFT to get to, foremost in this respect is the ViewPad 7 a smartphone device. Speaking of which, one particular highlight of this ViewPad is the crystal-clarity and high speed afforded when making video calls.

Most recommended for users needed smartphone functions, the ViewSonic ViewPad 7 is a good mini-sized tablet, but simple web browsing is slightly inconvenient and proper PC functions are extremely difficult to perform. As a substitute for a smartphone, however, the ViewPad 7 may be second to none, particularly with the Android 2.2 in play.

Tablet2Cases recommends to buy it now for $274.49.
