This king of tablets has to be the fairest ruler in the kingdom. The HP Slate 7 Extreme is one of many various models available in the Slate series and this one certainly puts the stream in extreme. At this price it’s hard to imagine considering any other tablet once you’ve finished drooling and picked your jaw up from the ground.
The Slate 7 has an impressive NVidia Tegra 1.8 GHz quad core processor, now that’s some serious power for efficient computing. Style speaks for itself and despite its smaller size, it looks and feels sleek in a slate silver color. The screen size is a little disappointing at just 7 inches but the resolution at 1280 x 800 is standard, good enough for smooth playback and picture quality for your Game of Thrones fix. If you’re concerned about watching video on a 7 inch screen, it does have a HDMI port so you can hook it directly into your HDTV and the Slate 7 supports up to Ultra HD 4K displays.
Feature wise, this model is very competitive for its price with a reliable performance and great audio and visual quality. The speakers are front facing as is a 0.3 Megapixel camera, with a rear 5 Megapixel camera. Standard storage is available at around the same most other models can offer, 16GB, which can be expanded by a 32GB sdcard.
The HP Slate 7 Extreme also comes with 25GB of free cloud storage and a bundle of useful office, connectivity and communication apps already installed on the device. Overall it is very responsive to touchscreen use and the stylus pen included with it is very handy.
