Austin Yang is an industrial and product designer, currently studying for Power Mechanical Engineering and Product Design degrees. He is responsible for several visionary design projects including the iTurntable and iTypewriter. The designer strives to combine vintage looks with the latest technological advancements, bringing together the old and the new in attractive and functional gadgets. Although Austin Yang cases are far from mass-production lines, the concepts are very unique and have already sparked interests from numerous tablet owners.

The iTurntable is a unique speaker dock compatible with the Apple iPod and iPhone, which combines authentic vintage looks of an LP player with modern technology. The iTypewriter is a one-of-a-kind tablet keyboard case designed to fit the iPad 2 and the new iPad. The case is crafted to remind of a classic typewriter, where each key stroke offers a haptic feedback as opposed to boring on-screen typing. The price tag of $800 may be a bit too steep, but in return you get a truly unique tablet accessory.

Tablet owners, wishing to buy Austin Yang tablet cases, will have to know that they are not easy to come by. And if they do come across iTypewriter, they will have to shell out quite a sum for it. However, there is a market for everything, and owning a truly one-of-a-kind tablet case may be reason enough to pay such a premium price.
